Katherine Perra is a local collage artist and gender-based violence survivor who believes in art as a tool for personal empowerment. She shared that she believes creativity and art allow her to safely express her emotions, as well as connect with her younger self.  

“I’ve always loved flipping through magazines and cutting out images that I think are cool.  Collage is a familiar and comforting consistent in my life.”
