INDIVIDUAL GIFTS OFFICER
Full-Time | Compensation: $60k-75k, benefits | Reports to: Advancement Director
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Like many nonprofits, DAP's Individual Donor fundraising has historically been anchored in the Executive Director's personal relationships. Now, DAP is making a deliberate investment in building fundraising infrastructure that is diverse, sustainable, and not dependent on any single leader. The Individual Gifts Officer is central to that strategy. This person will: build and steward a portfolio of individual donors who believe in DAP’s mission; cultivate new philanthropic relationships; and help establish the model for Individual Giving that will strengthen DAP for years to come.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Donor Portfolio Management
Manage an active portfolio of 75–125 individual donors and prospects across a range of giving levels
Execute a moves management strategy for each portfolio donor: qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, with clear documentation and regular progress review
Conduct meaningful personal outreach to donors through meetings, calls, site visits, and events, building authentic relationships grounded in shared mission
Solicit and close gifts with confidence, tailoring asks to each donor’s capacity, interests, and giving history
Identify and qualify new major gift prospects from DAP’s existing donor file, event attendees, board networks, and community relationships
Stewardship & Donor Experience
Design and execute a stewardship program that makes donors feel genuinely connected to DAP’s impact — not just thanked, but meaningfully engaged
Develop personalized acknowledgment letters, impact reports, and stewardship communications in collaboration with communications staff
Coordinate donor recognition at DAP events and ensure consistent follow-through on stewardship commitments
Manage the annual giving calendar, including appeals, renewal campaigns, and year-end giving strategies for the individual donor portfolio
Support planned giving conversations and identify donors with estate gift potential, in coordination with the ED and Director of Advancement
Fundraising Infrastructure & Systems
Maintain accurate, timely donor records in DAP’s CRM/donor database — tracking contacts, gifts, and relationship notes with rigor and consistency
Generate donor reports, portfolio analyses, and pipeline dashboards to support leadership decision-making and board development committee reporting
Develop and refine DAP’s individual giving policies, procedures, and gift acceptance guidelines in coordination with the Director of Advancement
Support the implementation or optimization of DAP’s donor database, ensuring it functions as a strategic tool — not just a transaction record
Track and analyze giving trends, lapse rates, retention, and upgrade pathways to inform annual fundraising strategy
Communication & Collaboration
Work collaboratively with the Advancement Director, Executive Director, and grants/communications staff to ensure integrated, mission-aligned donor messaging
Represent DAP at community events, funder convenings, and sector networking opportunities to raise visibility and cultivate new relationships
Support grant proposals and reports as needed, particularly those related to individual giving capacity or development infrastructure
QUALIFICATIONS:
3–5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with direct responsibility for individual donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
Demonstrated success managing a donor portfolio and closing gifts at the $1k–$25k+ level
Excellent relational, written and verbal communication skills
Experience with donor CRM systems (e.g., Bloomerang, Salesforce, or similar) and commitment to rigorous data management
High degree of personal accountability — follows through on commitments, manages time independently, and meets deadlines

THERAPIST
Full-Time | Compensation: $25 - 35/hr DOQ, benefits | Reports to: VS Program Supervisor
THE OPPORTUNITY:
DAP is currently seeking a full-time therapist to provide direct services to clients in our Intervention and Prevention (IPP) and Victim Survivor (VS) programs. Therapists in this position will facilitate psychotherapy groups as well as individual therapy. An ideal candidate will have experience providing services to individuals who use harm and to individuals who have been harmed. Individuals who are systems connected, dealing directly with the issues of domestic violence or other closely related fields is preferred. Candidates for this position should be dedicated to engaging in personal and programmatic reflection regarding the issues of race, gender, power and privilege, equity and inclusion, social justice, and social determinants of health as they intersect with the issue of domestic violence.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide individual therapy services
Facilitation of groups as assigned
Offer client-focused, strengths-based, trauma-informed psychotherapy
Complete Diagnostic Assessments and Treatment plans with clients
Timely documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Maintain accurate HIPPA, VAWA and VOCA compliant client files
Communicate with community providers as needed for collaborative client care.
Provide guidance and training to interns as needed
Provides resource referrals as needed
Conducts and support first call shifts
This position is not limited to adult-only clinical work; direct service with children and families is a core expectation
Administrative Duties
Participate in and support DAP events, growth and development
Attend clinical and administrative supervision
Attend meetings and trainings, as assigned
Facilitate community-based presentations and trainings, as assigned
Foster community partnership
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualification as a Mental Health Professional, as defined by the Minnesota Mental Health Act
Master's degree or higher in social work or closely related field
Previous experience working with individuals who have used violence is preferred
Ability to work with people from diverse racial, cultural, and social-economic backgrounds
Willingness to engage in reflection on power and privilege as it relates to work with communities impacted by domestic violence
Organized, collaborative, team oriented, growth-mindset, reflective, creative, self-starter, good communication skills, and capacity to follow through on tasks and responsibilities with minimal oversight
A current license as an Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or licensed Psychologist (LP) in the state of Minnesota is nice to have
Experience providing individual and/or group therapy to children, caregivers, and families, particularly in domestic violence, trauma, or systems-involved contexts
