First Call Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
First Call is the first step to entering DAP’s therapy, advocacy and case management programs. First Call staff can help you learn about DAP’s different programs and register for services over the phone. If calling is not a safe option, please email firstcall@mndap.org.
What to expect when you make the First Call…
Confidential, person-centered support and validation for anyone who has/is experiencing domestic violence, knows someone who is experiencing violence or has used abusive behaviors and is looking to change.
Information and connections to resources in the community
Information and connection to resources at DAP:
Therapy: for victim/survivors, youth and those who use abusive behaviors
Advocacy: Support in writing Orders for Protection and Harassment Restraining Orders for victim/survivors who have a tie to Hennepin County. We also provide intensive safety planning services to all victim/survivors.
Short-term Case Management: DAP’s team offers short-term case management appointments for clients involved in our therapy or advocacy programs, that focus on stabilization and basic needs. We also provide Coordinated Entry Assessments for clients fleeing/attempting to flee domestic violence in Hennepin County.
Referrals to DAP
For providers in the community who are looking to refer client’s to our services, please provide your clients with the First Call phone number so we can speak with them directly about services and registration.
