Celebrating Black History Month at DAP
Logo

At DAP, a majority of the folks that we serve are members of the African-American community. To best serve our community, we strive to provide culturally specific programming, so that our participants’ identities, history, culture, and strength are reflected in the services that they receive. While Black culture and history are to be celebrated every day of the year, this month we want to highlight the resilience and joy of the community.

MMAAWT is tasked with listening to African-American women in the community and crafting suggestions for legislative action that will increase access to resources within justice and nonprofit systems. DAP STAFF HAVING FUN… *queue the dance music*

Earlier this month, the DAP staff got to have fun together at cosmic bowling! So often our staff is doing such heavy work and it was nice to take a break to let our hair down. Click the image above to check out this video of the wonderful Earl Miller, our Case Management Program Supervisor and HEAT Facilitator, showing off his dance moves on the bowling alley floor.
